Defiance College offers a wide range of events, including
lecture, performance, discussion, and social gatherings. These
events are sponsored by several divisions, programs, and majors,
often through interdisciplinary collaborations.

Constitution Day
On September 16 all of DC celebrated the Constitution of the U. S.
The whole quad area between Serrick and Pilgrim Library became
a "classroom" for playing to learn about the responsibilities and
rights of U. S. citizens and its immigrants and visitors.



DC Music Program and Theater

Fall 2011 is rich in cultural offerings. Andrew Schultz, who directs
the Music Program, and Ken Neuenschwander, the director of
DC Players, have scheduled the following performances.

Stratford Shakespeare Festival
The sixth annual trip to Stratford, Ontario, took place on September 3-4,
2011. Every year students travel with Arts & Humanities faculty to the
Shakespeare festival for world-class theater in a European-style town.
The plays for this year are Titus Andronicus and Twelfth Night.

The yearly trip to Stratford is supported by Global
Civilization Program and Composition Program.
